This site is a portfolio. It only collects what you choose to send through the contact form. Here’s what happens to it.
Who’s responsible
Jay Gallant runs this site and is the person in charge of protecting your personal information. Questions or requests go to jayssongallant@gmail.com.
What I collect
When you use the contact form: your name, your email, the type of project and your message. That’s it. No account, no newsletter, no payment.
Like every website, the host also keeps basic technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and secure. The contact form also runs a quick spam check from Cloudflare that looks at the same kind of technical details. It doesn’t track you across other sites.
Why I collect it
To read your message, answer it and talk about your project. I never sell, rent or share your information for marketing.
Where it goes
Your message goes to my email inbox, a Gmail account run by Google, and a copy is kept in the site’s Webflow dashboard. The site is hosted by Webflow, the spam check comes from Cloudflare, fonts load from Google Fonts and videos are embedded from Vimeo. These providers may store or process data outside Québec, including in the United States, under their own privacy and security commitments. I only share your information with them so the site and the form can work.
How long I keep it
As long as needed to answer you and, if we work together, to run the project. Messages that don’t lead to a project are deleted after 12 months. If we do work together, project records like quotes and invoices are kept as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, correct it or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to jayssongallant@gmail.com and I’ll answer within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with the answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date at the top.
